Since the founding of the civil society initiative Duisburg 1984 in 2018 – which is dedicated to the political reappraisal and commemoration of the racist arson attack of 26 August 1984 in Duisburg – Peira has been involved in several projects for a critical culture of remembrance and the reappraisal of right-wing, racist violence in Duisburg, the Ruhr region and beyond.
We celebrate Sisterhood at the Houseclub. A day of art, music, creative activities, food and alcohol-free cocktails for all girls* and young women*: With exhibition, Polaroid photo station, karaoke, screen printing stickers & bracelets to make yourself, music by DJ Ezgi Ivy, hip-hop dance workout, waffles and non-alcoholic cocktails. All free of charge!

We are taking part in the program Art as Social Practice and are organizing Module 2: Communities as Support / Radical Pedagogies from 20 - 24 November in Frankfurt am Main.
Art as Social Practice is aimed at artists who have initial experience in artistic work in social fields or cultural education. In four dialog-oriented modules, participants can learn from and with guest lecturers from different contexts of cultural, socio-cultural and socio-political work and exchange ideas about their own practices and disciplines.
